Troll Forest, A Norwegian Tale, is set in Norway and is inspired by her many trips to the Old Country to visit her husband’s family. Donna was charmed by the magic of the culture and the stories about Trolls! The hero of her story, Peter, is a fourteen year old boy who works as a hired hand in a neighboring village to help his mother save their farm. One night on his way home Peter finds himself alone in the forest, just before dark. Peter falls asleep but is awakened by loud voices...

Cheeky and Charlemagne & The Great Sabotage, is the sequel to Donna’s award winning Cheeky and Charlemagne.

In the first book, Cheeky and Charlemagne are given the dangerous mission of delivering the special antidote, an herbal tea, needed to save the critters of the North Country from the poison darts of the treacherous trappers. In the sequel Cheeky and Charlemagne join forces with all the furry critters and the Great Protector to sabotage the treacherous trappers. Join in the fun as they use their unique special talents to rid the North Country of trappers, once and for all!

Bella and Jingles, set in arctic Alaska, is award-winning Donna Seim’s third picture book. Donna’s love for children’s literature has always been her passion, along with her love of animals.

Her first picture book, Where is Simon, Sandy?, set in the Caribbean, is the story of a little donkey that wouldn’t quit.

Her second picture book, Satchi and Little Star, is the story of a little girl who tries to catch and tame a wild horse.

As well as picture books, Donna has three middle-grade novels. Her first novel, Hurricane Mia, is an adventure story set in the Caribbean. Charley, her second novel, is based on a true story of an abandoned boy in 1910. Charley has been awarded the Eloquent Quill Award, Top Honors from the Literary Classic Book Awards, and first place in Regional Literature from the New England Book Festival. Charley, the book, has now been adapted as, Charley, the play, and has been performed in New England Theaters.

Asante Sana Tanzania is Donna’s first armchair travel book, which takes the reader along with her, and her photographer husband, on a safari in Africa. The title has won two national awards.

Donna is a graduate from The Ohio State University with a BSSW in the field of Social Welfare. Donna also holds a MA in Special Education from Lesley University.

Donna lives in Newbury, Massachusetts, with her husband, Martin.
